AFTER the increase in local tax last year (2000-2001) and the increase this year (2001-2002) of 15 per cent, it seems the council is now already looking for an extra three per cent.
Where am I going to find all these extra funds from when my wages have not increased?
It is about time some of those overpaid representatives, whether Labour or Conservative, were put in my shoes to find out how they can keep up with the ever increasing demands on my wage packet.
I don't know how much Mike Bawden is paid, or Julia Drown, but I bet they couldn't survive on my wages.
But, of course, they aren't concerned about the ordinary people.
