Henry Paul has been recalled to the Gloucester side for tomorrow's West Country derby against Bath at Kingsholm as full-back.

It will be Paul's first start since March 30, having been on the bench for three Premiership games and last Sunday's Parker Pen European Shield semi-final defeat against Sale.

The former rugby league star has played mostly at centre since switching codes last October.

But Gloucester rugby director Nigel Melville has no doubt that Paul, an England debutant against France during this season's Six Nations Championship, can make the switch a success.

"Henry went on at full-back against Northampton last month, and it is somewhere I think he can play well," Melville said.

"He will have a bit more time to see what is happening in front of him. I believe he can be a threat there, because he can kick, run, tackle and catch."

Paul replaces Chris Catling as one of five changes from the side beaten 28-27 by Sale.

Elsewhere, Argentine international Diego Albanese takes over from injured wing Daren O'Leary, prop Patrice Collazo plays instead of Trevor Woodman, lock Rob Fidler replaces Ed Pearce and flanker Jake Boer is preferred to Fijian Koli Sewabu.

A Gloucester win would consolidate second place behind Premiership champions Leicester, but Bath are desperate for points in their battle against relegation.
