CARER Josephine Harte has appeared in court charged with stealing almost £2,000.
Harte, 35, of Queen Square, Chippenham, is accused of stealing the money from two women with learning difficulties in her care.
She is accused of taking £1,980 from the two women's bank accounts between July 1997 and July 1998, while they were in her care at an address on Ladyfield Road.
The case was adjourned by north west Wiltshire magistrates sitting at Chippenham. Harte will appear before Swindon Crown Court on June 7.
