Police believe a man of Asian appearance is using two small children in attempt to extract money from charitable residents in town.
The man is calling on homes and falsely claiming that his car has broken down. Police say he tries to obtain money for petrol and repairs by mentioning his children.
People are advised to be extra vigilant and not to give this man any money. Anyone who is approached by him should contact PC Clive Meeds on Swindon 528111.
