WITH reference to the letter from Mr Des Morgan (EA, Friday, May 3), I am afraid that he has misunderstood the situation. Swindon Services responded to a call from the council's Environmental Services Department to carry out a temporary repair to Southernwood Drive from a health and safety point of view. Following this, Environmental Services were to instruct the original contractors to return and carry out a permanent repair to the required standard. However, to date, this work has not been carried out.
