WINGWALKER Marie Duguid will be reaching for the skies later this month at the Castle Combe race meeting.

The 24-year-old is part of the Utterly Butterlys, Europe's only professional wingwalking team.

Marie has been training to recreate wingwalking magic for the audience at Castle Combe on Sunday, June 23 at what will be her inaugural season as a wingwalker.

"Wingwalking is utterly fantastic," she said.

"Looping the skies at 150mph is the ultimate in highflying careers."

The latest in safety technology and specially modified 450hp Boeing Stearman biplanes have ensured that in 2002 Europe's only professional wingwalking team are more dynamic than ever before.

The team's aircraft roar through the skies at 150mph, their nine foot propellers slicing through the air and the pilots pulling 4G as they perform loops, rolls and stall turns.

Marie will perform handstands and levitate sideways.
