THE QUEEN'S Jubilee has been marked in style by Wootton Bassett Town Band.
Their new red, white and blue uniforms are designed to turn the clock back to the band's 1920s heyday.
The band used a vintage uniform held in the town museum as the basis for the new design.
Re-formed 25 years ago, the brass band was originally founded in the early part of the century.
Band secretary, Heather Wannell, said: "The uniforms we've got at the moment are 20-years-old and are looking rather tatty.
"For the Queen's Jubilee we thought it would be nice to get some new jackets organised and we've modelled them on the band's original uniforms. All of the members absolutely love them."
Band members had their first look at a prototype of the new maroon, navy blue and silver uniform last week.
Costing £105 a piece some members have paid for their own while others are being bought through fundraising.
The band plans to premier the new uniforms with a concert some time this month.
Mrs Wannell urged anyone interest in joining the band, or contributing to the cost of the new uniforms, to call her on Swindon 852576.
