A SWINDON school is celebrating another golden jubilee later this month its own.

And Moredon Infants' School plans to mark its first 50 years with a series of festivities.

On Saturday, June 29, there will be a summer fair with all the traditional stalls and entertainments.

On Monday, July 1, Splatts Circus School will be visiting to teach the children some fun circus skills.

Two days later a 1950s theme day will be held, with children and teachers dressing up in period clothes.

On the following day, the school will host a special evening commemoration of its anniversary, featuring memories, old photographs and archive cine film.

On Friday, July 5, the No Added Sugar Arts group will take part in the assembly and hold workshops during the morning.

Weather permitting, there will be an outdoor picnic lunch followed by a variety of activities in the afternoon.

A special Jubilee Crown with the school's name on the box will be presented to all pupils as a memento, and a photograph of the whole school will be taken.

The nursery school sports day will be held on June 26, and that for the infants school on July 16.

On July 18 and 19, No Added Sugar will be back to paint a mural on the lower playground wall, based on pupils' drawings of flowers, ladybirds and animals etc.
