UNTIL recently I had spent all my life in Swindon. I have now moved to London to work, but I am so happy to come home, as people really take for granted how polite and courteous Swindon people are.
You rarely see people in London hold doors open for others, give up their seats on buses for the elderly and it's very rare to get a please or thank you for doing something trivial.
I am not saying everyone in London is arrogant, but I will say that we should be proud to be from Swindon as it's not as bad as some might think.
