Westinghouse remained undefeated in Division One of the Wiltshire League after a six-wicket success at Buscot Park.

After losing four early wickets, Hamish Miller's 65 not out and Rob Dean's 43 not out, steered Buscot to 159-4, before 98 from Trevor Francis steered the visitors to a comfortable victory and top spot.

At Beanacre, John Adcock hit a fine 106 (14 fours and three sixes), but no one could stay with him as Beanacre were bowled out for 139 by visiting Calne.

Steve Richards (66 not out) and John Brake (46) then helped Calne to an eight-wicket success.

Box visited Burbage, and with 52 from Tony Trotman closed on 215-4.

Trotman then took 4-19 as Burbage struggled to 127-8.

Nalgo slipped to another defeat as they were bowled out for 98 at Potterne, only John Jenkins 31 offering much resistance as Andy Sainsbury took 6-18 in 12 overs.

Steve Fortune (38 not out) and Sam Gaiger (36 not out) then raced away to give Potterne a nine wicket victory, the runs coming in just 13 overs.

DIVISION TWO

Collingbourne head Division Two after a six wicket home win against winless Bradford Town.

Barry Langfield (4-21 in 15 overs) and Tom Edmunds (4-5 in four) bowled Bradford out for 110 before they eased home with eight overs to spare.

Nationwide House remain undefeated following a four run victory at Swindon Civil Service.

Fifteen-year-old James Townsend took 3-39 in 15 overs to dismiss Nationwide for 154. Then, despite Mike Giddings 79 and Shaun Smith 42, the home side on 150-8.

Highworth still seek their first win, though they pushed hosts Cooper-Avon Tyres hard before going down by two wickets with just 14 balls remaining.

Roger Miller (32), Bob Groves (44) and Leighton Beaver (41) helped Highworth to 165-6. Steve Landis then took 3-30 in 8.4 overs but Cooper-Avon eased home.

Great Bedwyn were restricted to 140-5 at Sutton Veny, then a brilliant 95 not out from Andy Pinnell took the home team to a nine wicket win.

At Lechlade, Minety scored 182-5 with John Lutwyche (48), Alan Brown (38 not out) and Mike Gregory (37). For Lechlade, Adam Seaman (2-34) was the pick of their bowlers.

After the loss of an early wicket, Nick Smith (104 not out) and Roger Pettifer (61 not out) took Lechlade to a nine wicket success.

DIVISION THREE

Seagry gained their first win, thanks to Paul Lewis 40, Chris Grace (48 not out) and Ken Vizor (43) in their 234-3 against Dauntsey Gentlemen, who were then restricted to 154-8, Walter Tidmarsh taking 3-14 in nine overs.

Urchfont visited Cherhill and slumped to 66 all out, Alan Eades (4-14 in 10 overs), Garry Vaughan (4-25 in 10) and Harry Harrison (2-12 in nine) doing the damage.

With Ben Webber (36 not out )and Ian Harvey (20 not out), Cherhill coasted to a nine wicket victory.

At Moredon Royal Oak, Ben Feller's 56 and Mike Williams' 35 helped Moredon to 161-6 against Wanborough.

However Dave Haydon 56 and Paul Sore 69 enabled Wanborough to win by eight wickets.

DIVISION FOUR

BLUNSDON rattled up 239-3 at home to Coates with Kevin Aubrey hitting 105, Chris Hambling 52 not out and 16-year-old Heath Gunter 31. They then shot Coates out for just 60.

At Wroughton, Chris Walling took 4-17 in 15 overs as Ramsbury struggled to just 51 all out, the home side cruising to a nine wicket win.

Bradford Town still seek their first win after falling to Corsham 3rd at home by six wickets.

Bradford reached 149 all out as Mike Ings took 4-35 in 15 overs and Neil Dennett 3-38 in 11 and Garry Salter 55 not out and Terry Rogers 40 not out saw Corsham home with seven balls to spare.

DIVISION FIVE

Warminster 3rd beat Chippenham 3rd, bowling them out for just 55 in reply to 150 all out.

Burbage 2nds restricted hosts Hungerford 3rd to 110-8 before coasting to a seven wicket success.

Keevil visited Wilcot and were bowled out for 122, Graham Smith taking 4-10 in 13.2 overs. Steve O'Donnell 47 not out then helped Wilcot to a six wicket success.

Nettleton dismissed visiting Lavington for just 72 with Ian Witts taking 5-16 and Tony Bleakin (4-17) doing the damage.

Olly Harland (26 not out) then led Nettleton to an eight wicket victory.

DIVISION SIX

Goatacre 3rd and Box 2nd both recorded their first wins.

At Goatacre, Richard Read took 5-6 in 7.1 overs for visiting Devizes 3rd as the hosts managed only 95 all out. Colin Beattie responded with 5-13 in 15 overs and despite 34 not out from Steve Harford, Devizes were bowled out for 91.

At Box, Cooper-Avon Tyres 2nd scored 207-6 with Keith Steggall knocking 47 and Hupindre 64. A fine 117 not out from Brian Foley got Box home with eight balls to spare.

Lacock scored 180-7 with Bill Stearn hitting 51 and Steve Widcombe taking 3-41 in nine overs for visiting Buscot Park 2nd.

Nick Church responded with 4-43 in 14 overs, but Geoff O'Neil's 55 and Colin Pratt's 64 helped Buscot to a four wicket win with 14 balls to go.

Litten Tree dismissed hosts Calne 2nd for 110 with Barry Garland's 69, Keith Crooks taking 4-14 in 10 overs and Mike Brown 3-30 in 11. Neil Bennett 36 then helped the visitors to a seven wicket win.

DIVISION SEVEN

The clash between undefeated Westinghouse 2nd and Wootton Bassett 3rd resulted in a one-wicket victory for Westinghouse.

Visitors Bassett made 148-8 with Garry Giles (54 not out) top scoring.

Joe Millington then took 4-14 but Ian Woodman (22), Joe Miles (23) and Phil Meach (23) saw Westinghouse home with nine overs to spare.

Trowbridge A scored 169-8 with Chris Watts (45) as Brendan Baker took 3-40 in 15 overs and Chris Fisher 3-24 in seven for Potterne 2nd.

However with Steve Chalk (5-15 in seven overs) and Steve Rutland (4-37 in 15), Potterne were dismissed for 77.

Beanacre 2nd were on the wrong end of a 231-run hammering at Nationwide House 2nd.

The home side piled up 273-4 thanks to Mark Chewton (93), Ian Vardon (64 not out) and Freddie Roofe (44).

They then had Beanacre back in the pavilion for just 42.

DIVISION EIGHT

Swindon 4th won the battle of the unbeaten teams following a four wicket victory against Beehive Bradford.

Andy Phipps (2-11 in 10 overs), Dan Willis (4-21 in nine) and Michael Hayward (3-27 in eight) had Beehive all out for 92. Mark Horsington 26 then top scored as Swindon edged to 96-6 in 21.3 overs.

Cherhill 2nd bowled hosts Wootton Bassett 4th out for 91 and went on to a comfortable eight wicket victory.

Biddestone 3rd scored 136 all out at Highworth 2nd, Keith Halls taking 4-26 in 15 overs.

In response Richard Gough took 4-49 in 13 overs as, despite 51 from Pete Wills, Highworth were dismissed for 127.
