HEDDINGTON Primary School has a third classroom for the first time in its history.
The school, which has just 60 pupils, has been making do with holding three classes in two classrooms, but now it has a new £98,000 computer suite.
On Friday the Archdeacon of Wiltshire and Sarum the Venerable Barney Hopkinson officially re-opened the school. There was a service of rededication at St Andrew's Church, followed by the unveiling of a plaque.
Afterwards the children entertained guests with a maypole dancing display.
Headteacher David Clay said the school's change of status from Church of England controlled, to church aided, had meant it could secure the money needed for the extension. The ICT suite has been built on to the school's main building. A third class is taught in a mobile classroom.
He said the diocese secured Government funding for the project and the school had to find about seven per cent.
