PARENTS interested in knowing more about the new Nursteed Community Primary School are invited to a meeting on Wednesday.

The school will be opening in September near the new Nursteed Meadows housing estate to the east of Brickley Lane.

The meeting is open to parents whose children are already signed up to go to the school as well as parents who might be interested in sending their child and also people involved in local groups, as the school will be opened up for community use.

Forty children have enrolled and more children can be taken before it opens. Along with headteacher David Sibun, a deputy head and two teachers have been appointed. At the meeting Mr Sibun will talk about the school followed by a presentation by Colin Brown of Kennet District Council who will talk about the community use of the school. There will be an opportunity to ask questions.

Also on display at the meeting will be the school uniform which is maroon and has the emblem of the Roundway White Horse on it.

School brochures will also be available to take away. Mr Sibun said: "The meeting is an information evening and we would like parents and non parents to come along."

The meeting is at the Southbroom Parish Centre, Victoria Road, Devizes, starting at 7.30pm.
