YOUNG people are getting ready for the Wyvern Theatre's annual Summer Youth Project of Leonard Bernstein's musical West Side Story.
The Summer Youth Project is an annual event ran by the Wyvern Theatre and run in conjunction with Swindon Council.
Each year the project puts on a show, usually a musical, with the cast being auditioned several months prior to the show being staged.
Backstage staff are also taken on by the project so that young people receive the technical experience to be able to set up such a show.
West Side Story is a modern re-telling of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet and is set in the Upper West Side of New York City, and involves a feud between two teenage gangs called the Jets and Sharks.
The show opens on Saturday, August 3 and concludes with a matinee and evening performance on Saturday, August 10.
Tickets are priced £8.50. Performances start at 7.30pm while the single matinee show starts at 2.30pm.
