AS part of the regular Healthy Lifestyle programme at RAF Lyneham, the medical, catering and physical education staffs organised a Healthy Lifestyle day to promote and advise the Station's personnel and their families on all aspects of healthy living.

The day started with a ladies triathlon organised by members of the Physical Education Flight.

Once the ladies had completed this event, the Station Commander, Group Captain Ray Lock presented prizes to the participants and officially opened the rest of the event.

Throughout the day personnel and their families had the opportunity to view displays and exhibitions on all areas of healthy living.

The dental staff gave out advise on oral health and hygiene, the medical personnel were on hand to advise on many areas of healthy living as well as testing peoples blood pressure.

The Physical Training Instructors advised on the best ways of keeping fit and demonstrated how to use various pieces of gymnasium equipment.

In addition to these, demonstrations were given in sports massage, aerobics as well as make up and manicures.

One of the most popular displays during the day was that by the catering staff who advised on healthy eating, but also have samples of food for people to taste.
