THE South West's largest philatelic fair is taking place in Swindon this weekend.
Around 20 specialist societies from around the region will be making their way to the town to present their collections of rare stamps and postcards at Swinpex 2002, which is being organised by the Swindon Philatelic Society.
Nearly 40 stamp and postcard dealers will attend the event, which has been held in Swindon for the past 20 years.
It takes place at St Joseph's RC Primary School in Queens Drive on Saturday. Doors open at 10am and close at 4.30pm. Entrance is 50p for adults while children enter for free.
David Gibbon of the Swindon Philatelic Society said: "People come from as far as Wales and Devon to come and have a look at the exposition. It is great for collectors young and old, all the collections attract a great deal of interest."
Free car parking and refreshments are available.
