A TEENAGER accused of causing a car crash that left a 16-year-old boy on a life support system has appeared in court in Swindon.
Christopher Crook, 18, from Cherhill Court, More-don, is accused of dangerous driving, driving while disqualified and aggravated vehicle taking.
The charges were brought after an accident in Elbor-ough Road early on Saturday morning. Crook is also accused of failing to stop after an accident and driving the vehicle without insurance.
Swindon magistrates remanded him on conditional bail until June 26.
He was also ordered that he must observe a curfew between 8pm and 6am and continue to live at his home address.
The 16-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is being treated at Frenchay Hospital in Bristol.
Swindon police spokeswoman Alvina Kumar said the boy's condition remained critical.
