Purton travel to Lydney this week in search of the win which would not only boost their meagre points total but lift confidence amongst the players.
The need for a winning total sees the side include the extra batsman, with Dave Allen coming in from the 2nds after averaging 47 so far this term.
Danny and Joe Dunn return to action after being unavailable and will both make the journey to Gloucestershire as the pack is shuffled to freshen things up.
After last Saturday's narrow defeat at Redmarley, Neil Miles' 2nd XI look to return to winning ways at home.
As with the 1st XI the side shows changes with a number of players up for selection after missing out last week.
The side looks well balanced with good options in batting and bowling departments.
Teams: 1st XI (meet 12 noon Red House): Gardner, Booth, Pugh, Sansum, D Dunn, J Dunn, Preddy, Carter, Bowler, D Allen, B Collier.
2nd XI (meet 1pm ground): N Miles, D Miles, Diston, Wherry, A Woolford, B Woolford, Dale, Rivers, Newman, Deeley, Kennedy.
