WILTSHIRE CCC staged a spirited recovery in their first Minor Counties Championship match of the season against Dorset at Corsham to earn a draw.
Dorset were put in on a damp wicket and reached 392-8, with Wiltshire's Kevin Nash taking 3-95 and Craig Gibbens 3-97.
Wiltshire started badly and only Kevin Blackburn (59) played a major innings as they were all out for 183.
After following on, they needed 133 at the end of day two to make Dorset bat again.
Wiltshire fought back well the following day, led by Chris Budd (112) and well supported by Mark Coxon (35) and Richard Bates (32).
A last wicket stand of 33 between Kevin Nash (40 not out) and Craig Gibbens (16) took their total to 351 all out, leaving Dorset 22 overs to score 143 to win.
Wickets fell regularly, with Nash taking 5-33 off nine overs.
With seven wickets down for 85 and five overs remaining, Dorset decided to settle for a draw.
Dorset's innings ended at 95-7.
Wiltshire's next match is a 38 County Cup match against Dorset at Swindon on June 16.
