THE family of tragic baby Rhiannon Humphries have raised more than £1,000 in her memory.

Mother Kirsty Brookes, 27, of Awdry Avenue, Melksham, said she was thrilled after a charity bash held in Bradford on Avon raised £1,082.05 for the special care baby unit at the Royal United Hospital, Bath.

Her children Nathan, 10, and Liam, seven, had their heads shaved at the event last month.

Miss Brookes said she would be presenting the money to the hospital in the next few weeks.

She said: "I was so pleased. It went so well and all of it is in my daughter's memory.

"I am thinking about doing more in the future but I want to pass this money on first."

Gary Brookes, Carl Davies and Stephen Bryant also had their heads shaved, while Marcus Neal braved a chest wax.

Eight-month-old Rhiannon died last March after her kidney failed.
