A FRAIL elderly woman has been left shocked and scared after being punched in the face while on a bus in Bradford on Avon.
The woman, in her 70s, was on a Badgerline bus which arrived at the town bridge bus stop in Bradford on Avon at about 2pm on Wednesday when the incident happened.
PC Martin Annetts of Trowbridge police said: "This was a very unsavoury and unfortunate thing to happen on a public service vehicle."
A man who tried to help her was also attacked and bitten on the hand.
It is thought that the incident was sparked off after a couple were tackled about their behaviour on the bus.
There were other passengers who may have seen what happened and police are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
The people involved in the attack were a white male and a white female travelling together.
