TIME management company Blick UK, a division of Swindon-based Blick Group, is to cut 40 of its 450 workforce in the UK 20 of them from the group's headquarters in Bramble Road, Elgin.

Staff were informed of the decision yesterday following a strategic review.

Stan Batters, managing director of Blick UK, said: "This strategic review builds on our expertise in the time and attendance and security sectors and will put the company in a much stronger position to meet the changes in our markets.

"The decisions have been taken after careful consideration of all the factors affecting our business, and it is very regrettable that there will be a number of losses.

"We are naturally concerned about the impact of these losses and wherever possible, will accept voluntary redundancy, early retirement and introduce flexible working.

"I would reinforce the fact that these changes relate to Blick UK only and do not affect any other companies within the Blick Group."

The Group incorporates seven companies namely Blick UK, Blick Communica-tions, Blick Alfia, PAC International, Blick France, Blick South Africa and Blick USA.
