CABIN filters to clean the air around us have been standard in most cars for the last six years.
Yet how many car owners bother to make sure the cabin filter hasn't worn out and needs replacing?
The filters not only improve our comfort, they improve driver concentration by keeping out up to 99.5 per cent of outside air pollution such as dust, pollen, soot and tyre particles.
But as with most car parts, they last only a certain time before they need replacing most manufacturers suggest 15,000 to 20,000 miles.
And when the car's warranty expires, lots of drivers don't bother to pay for a replacement filter.
Now Vauxhall is mounting a filter campaign through its MasterFit Centres. The filter can usually be replaced in under 15 minutes.
