Goatacre's inconsistent campaign continued after defeat at Gloucester. The Wiltshire side opted to bat, and after Steve Curwood was stumped for 15 Rob Turner and Steve Gee shared a partnership of 56. Turner scored 50 before falling lbw.
Wickets then fell quickly, but Jiff Wilkins and Kevin Iles consolidated, the former hitting an unbeaten 77 to help post a total of 238-8.
Some loose bowling saw Gloucester off to a flyer. They slipped to 224-8 only for the tailenders to finish with two boundaries to win by two wickets.
