FIREFIGHTERS were called out to Bybrook Valley Primary School, Yatton Keynell, at 8am on Tuesday when a cleaner spotted the heat detectors were activated because a pottery kiln had been left on all night.

"It had not caught fire but it had become very hot," said acting sub officer Darren Nixon. The firefighters checked the building was safe. A spokesman for the school said no children were on the premises at the time .
