A TROWBRIDGE couple celebrated their golden wedding on Friday, July 26, with a family party.
Ernie and Francis Lamb, of Maple Grove, were reunited with some old friends and family members at the party, attended by their five children, 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Mrs Lamb, 70, said: "It was a beautiful day and a wonderful surprise to see so many old faces."
Mr Lamb, 76, who is originally from Manchester, was introduced to his Wiltshire-born wife by friends 54 years ago when he was stationed at Warminster while in the army.
The couple were married at Westbury Church.
