Chippenham Town have had an easy time in their friendly fixtures to date.

Comfortable wins over Calne, Corsham and Newport Isle of White have bolstered confidence, but the Bluebirds will finally have a real test of their Dr Martens Premier Division credentials tonight.

Conference giants Yeovil are the visitors to Hardenhuish Park, and with a full-strength side in toe, Tommy Saunders side will have to be at their very best to retain their unblemished pre-season record against the FA Trophy holders.

Saunders is gradually streamlining his squad after inviting a succession of triallists to impress him.

Liam Byfield and Andy Pitman have already been shown the door, and Brazilian Juliano is set to follow suit.

Saunders will still have to trim his forward line though.

The signing of high-profile frontman Martin Paul brings the Bluebirds' striking contingent to six.

Paul who is set to make his debut this evening is earmarked to partner Steve Tweddle, while Matt Rawlins will be accommodated in midfield. Dave Godley has impressed enough to be retained, leaving veterans Adie Mings and Paul Hunt fighting it out for one remaining squad place.

Saunders should have a clearer idea of who to disappoint after tonight.
