THE Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints has been granted permission to build a new church and meeting house in Stratton.
The site, on land adjacent to Highworth Road, currently stands vacant but was previously occupied by industrial premises.
The church's current premises in Deacon Street, Old Town, was deemed too small for its 90 members.
