A man purporting to be from the Southern Electricity Board managed to enter the home of an elderly woman living in Blake Crescent, Upper Stratton, yesterday (Thursday).
The man left after a short conversation with the woman at 9.50am. Alvina Kumar, spokeswoman for Swindon police, is warning residents to be aware of letting strangers into their homes.The man is described as white, clean shaven, of medium build with dark brown hair. He was wearing a dark coloured shirt and jacket.
Anyone who is approached in a similar manner is asked to contact Swindon police on 528111.
