THE Firework and Light Extravaganza at Bowood House, which was due to take place on August 10, has been cancelled.
Cheshire-based organiser Performing Arts said the event, which attracted more than 4,000 people last year, had been scrapped because of poor ticket sales.
A spokesman for the company said 2,000 tickets had been sold, but it was hoping to have sold more.
Ticket buyers will be reimbursed. No decision has been made on whether the event would be held next year.
The Performing Arts Symphony Orchestra was due to take part in the event, in the gardens of Bowood.
