Swimming: THE newly-opened Five Rivers Leisure Centre hosted its first major swimming gala on Saturday - the final round of the Speedo Summer League.
Salisbury ASC went into the event holding a narrow three-point lead over nearest rivals Tigersharks B but a series of personal best performances ensured the home team were celebrating.
On the night they finished 35 points ahead of Melksham to wrap up the title - a clear 64 points ahead of Tigersharks B - and promotion to Division Two.
The next major gala at the venue is on Sunday, October 6 when the first round of the Winter League is staged.
