SOME 140 riders took to their bikes to tackle the Ridgeway ancient road and raise money for Macmillan Cancer Relief.
Setting off from Wanborough, there were 10-mile, 20-mile and 30-mile courses.
Some 80 riders embarked on the full-length course, scaling Barbury Hill, and Swindon mayor Stan Pajak was among those to take on the 20-mile route.
The annual event was cancelled last year because of the foot and mouth crisis.
Organiser Jill Greenaway said this year's ride should raise over £1,000.
