Bath coach Michael Foley believes England lock Danny Grewcock will be "very unlucky indeed" if he is banned by the Rugby Football Union.
Grewcock has been summoned to attend a disciplinary hearing in Coventry next Tuesday following his sending off for illegal use of the boot against Saracens three days ago.
Saracens skipper Kyran Bracken needed stitches to a facial cut, but has since termed the clash as accidental, adding that he would be prepared to testify on Grewcock's behalf.
Video evidence is believed to be inconclusive, further lessening the possibility of Grewcock being handed a possible 12-week suspension and missing England's November Tests.
"The timing of the hearing means that Danny is available for our game against Wasps on Saturday, and there is no question of him not playing," Foley said.
"Kyran Bracken has offered to testify on Danny's behalf, if required.
"We will be putting forward a case on Danny's behalf, and with Bracken's support, Danny would be very unlucky indeed if he was given a ban."
The panel will be chaired by Richard Moon, with assistance from his fellow RFU Council members Jeff Probyn and Paul Murphy.
