VITAL funds were raised for Warminster Hospital at its annual fete on Sunday.

People looked for bargains on craft stalls or watched displays from judo clubs and dance groups.

There was a Punch and Judy show for children and Warminster Community Radio made announcements throughout the day, which was organised by the Hospital League of Friends.

Staff nurse Pat Chudley, who sold raffle tickets, said: "It is a very important fundraiser for us. Former patients come down to thank us for everything we have done and it is also a chance to catch up with old faces.

"It is a bit of a bonding session and it's good that the community is still willing to support us. Lots of local groups were involved and it was a super day. People were very kind to us."
