Wootton Bassett have a chance to register their third Hellenic League victory of the season when they visit Hook Norton on Saturday.

The home side, promoted from Division One West last season, have found things far from easy and have yet to win their first Premier game from six starts.

Bassett, on the other hand, have started reasonably well, and shared the points in mid-week in a no-score draw with a strong Southall Town side.

Bassett boss Pete Yeardley, who admits it was a learning curve for his side in the Premier section last season, is keen to pick up three points and move into the top half of the table.

Pewsey Vale started well in their first games in the section, but have come up against a couple of good sides in Carterton and Didcot in recent weeks.

However, they have a chance to gain revenge for their 3-1 defeat last week, when they entertain Didcot on their own ground.

Fairford Town, who were defeated in mid-week at Abingdon, can make amends against Southall Town, although the home side will be no pushover, currently holding sixth spot in the table.

In Division One West, Purton boss Alan Clark will be keen to get his side back to winning ways after the disappointment of a home defeat by Ardley United last week.

New College travel to Winterbourne United, who remain undefeated after five games, and it could prove too much for the young Academy side.

Bottom of the league Shrivenham travel to Clanfield, and if producing the form they showed in the second half of their game last week, could come away with a point.

Malmesbury Vics visit Witney United with a reasonable chance of a point, and Cirencester United also have a chance to do likewise at Cheltenham Saracens.
