VOTERS go to the polls tomorrow in local elections across Swindon and Wiltshire.
In Swindon 20 of the borough council's 59 seats will be disputed.
And on North Wiltshire District Council all the seats are up for re-election.
The current make-up of Swindon Council is Labour 28, Conservatives 23 and Liberal Democrats eight.
North Wiltshire District Council is currently run by a minority Liberal Democrat administration.
This is the second year that Swindon has been involved in a pilot scheme to introduce electronic voting.
Last year total turnout for the election was 31 per cent and 6,000 votes were cast via the internet or telephone.
This year more than 7,000 voters have already cast their ballot electronically.
Voting by internet, telephone and interactive TV was due to close at midday today.
Polling stations for conventional voting will be open from 8am to 9pm tomorrow.
More than 300 local authorities are holding polls across the UK tomorrow.
Some 12,000 seats are being fought in a contest, which will be viewed as a barometer of public opinion on national as well as local issues.
