TOBY Giles bagged the man of the match award after hitting a fine hat-trick to help Laverstock & Ford collect another trophy in what has proved a watershed season.

The Hampshire Division Two champions simply proved too strong for Harnham in the final of the WC Stokes Cup played at Bemerton Heath Harlequins' Western Way ground on Thursday evening.

Laverstock ran out comfortable 8-0 victors netting four goals in each half.

Harnham were rarely in contention and even wasted the opportunity of a late consolation goal after they blasted a spot kick over the bar.

The victory meant Laverstock had scored 23 goals in their three ties in this season's Nadder Valley League competition without conceding a single goal.
