WHILE some people in Pewsey are demanding extra street lighting one parish councillor says he has too much.
Coun Terry Eyles who is the parish council's street lighting representative told the annual parish meeting last Tuesday that it was proving difficult to get new lights for poorly lit parts of the village.
Coun Eyles said: "Kennet District Council says they have the money but the new lights we need never materialise."
But Coun Denis Sweasey asked if it was possible to get lights moved because he has one that shines directly into his home in Scotchell Green.
He said: "I have one in my front garden about three feet from my bedroom window. How can I get it moved?"
Coun John Cooke suggested Coun Sweasey should consider himself lucky to have good street lighting and to ask Kennet to shade the light to stop it shining into his home.
