SWINDON SUNDAY LEAGUE: DIVISION Seven leaders Duckhams Q completed the first part of what could be a memorable double when they lifted the Chairman's Trophy with a tremendous 5-1 victory over Motorola from Division Four.

After an evenly contested start to the game, Ian Raynor slotted home after 27 minutes to give Duckhams the lead which was followed by a Stuart Carter header 10 minutes later to make it 2-0.

Two goals in two minutes straight after the break from John Cave-Ayland and James Bradfield effectively ended the final, and Cave-Ayland added a fifth goal on 65 minutes with Simon Joliffe netting Motorola's consolation goal near the end.

There was a stormy ending to the Tran Staff-Greyhound game in Division One. With 10 minutes left, several players were involved in a free-for-all, which resulted in four players, three from Greyhound and one from Tran Staff, being sent off.

Greyhound won 5-3 with goals from Justin Miller, Keith Walker, Dave Slattery (penalty) and Mark Belcher (2). Adam Giles got all three for Tran Staff.

New Century WMC defeated AFC Gas 6-2 with Matt Saye hitting a hat trick, Lee Blowen with a double and a Damon Sefton penalty. The Gas replies came from Danny Sealey and Alan Blake.

SKS Blyskawica are champions of Division Two after Jesters lost 5-4 at home to Swindon West Indians. Mark Bodman, Ollie O'Neill, Martin Cobb, together with an own goal, couldn't prevent them from defeat. Earlier in the week Jesters had won the reverse fixture 4-2.

In Division Three, Penhill United completed their fixtures with two wins, 4-0 at Nationwide in midweek and an 8-0 beating of Mallard, with Shane Davis and Darren Smart notching hat-tricks and Luke Quinte and Gary Hill also scoring.

Penhill must now sit and wait to see what Haydon Wick WMC do in their remaining matches. Wick beat Compton Welding 3-2 thanks to a Richie Martin hat-trick.

South Marston also completed their programme with a 2-1 win against Wanborough and a 1-1 draw with Thamesdown Nalgo, with Nigel Clarke scoring in the latter game.

A Pete Myles hat-trick and a Shaun Noakes double plus one from Paul Carter gave Wanborough a welcome 6-0 win at Coleshill.

Division Four champions County Ground defeated Southbrook Inn 3-2 in midweek, but suffered their first league defeat of the season at the hands of Auto Colour 2-1 with Paul Johnson scoring. Steve Howell and Clive Taylor scored for Auto Colour.

In Division Five, player of the day was Wayne Presley of Bear Hotel Marlborough, who scored all of his side's goals in their 7-0 win at Nationwide.

Sun Inn Coate beat ISSC 3-1 with James Whitmore (2) and Steve Richardson on the scoresheet. Jason Lyne replied for ISSC. Champions Queensfield won 1-0 at Wincanton with a rare goal for Dave Pile.

Division Six joint leaders Castrol GTX and G & F Bricklaying both recorded victories, with Castrol storming to a 7-0 win at Kingsdown United and Danny Scotford, Dwayne Baker, Jim Dixon, Liam Sutton with a penalty and a John Coole double gave G & F a 6-0 victory over H &H Athletic in their final game.

At the top of Division Seven Duckhams Q beat rivals WS One 2-0 earlier in the week.

WS One then suffered another setback at the hands of MCS 4-1 with Sam Brown scoring. Ian Starkey with a double, Mark Connolly and Scott Rendell netted for MCS.

MCS had been subject to a shock 6-2 home defeat by Endeva earlier in the week. Endeva completed a good week by defeating Blueprint 7-4 with Paul Hughes, Nick Draycott, Colin Thompson and a four-timer for Warren Anger doing the business.
