SKURRAY'S WILTSHIRE LEAGUE: STRATTON Crosslink left it late to make sure of the runners-up spot in the Wiltshire League Premier Division.

Two goals inside the last 10 minutes helped Crosslink bounce back from a goal down to beat Bradford Town 2-1.

After a fruitless first-half Bradford took the lead in the last quarter of the game with a strike from Matt Cottrell.

Staring defeat straight in the face Crosslink threw everyone forward and a shot from Martin Grounsell scored rather fortunately as it took a deflection into the net.

With time running out for Crosslink to secure second spot, a corner by Gerry Wright was hoisted into the box and club stalwart Martin Pope headed past the keeper to ensure second spot for his side.

A young Purton Reserves side did well to defeat Devizes Town Reserves.

They strolled to a 5-0 win with goals from Sam Collier, Daniel Jones,Darren Brown, Johnny Coule and Robert Preddy securing a well-deserved victory

Chiseldon Castrol picked up a useful point at Cricklade Town in a no-score draw and Westbury United earned all three points beating Marlborough Town 2-0. Steve Munday and Sam Gooding were on target scoring a goal in each half.

In the Intermediate Division, Blunsdon United fought out a no-score draw at Biddestone and second-in-the-table Wanborough United gained a 3-1 away success over Trowbridge Town Reserves Booker Woodford on target for the Town and Mick Harper, Pete York and Richard Merchant for United.

Highest scorers of the day were Ferndale Rodbourne in the Junior Division.

They beat Sporting H.K.Q. 6-0 Tony Bown and Jason Johns scoring a brace each with Richard Saxby and Mark Cohen also on the scoresheet.

Aldbourne Reserves beat Minety on their own ground 4-2 Paul Huckin and Mark Taylor for the home side and Steve Hewitt (2) and Simon Bartholemew (2) for the visitors.

West Swindon continued their purple patch with a 2-1 win over Blunsdon United Reserves scoring all three goals in the process.

James Harman and Kenny Campbell netted at the right end and Roy Wheatley scored an own goal.

Two goals from Keith Dart and one each from John Webb, Rich Saunders and Jock Corkeran gave Dunbar Westside Reserves a 5-1 win against Wootton Bassett A.

Chiseldon Castrol Reserves and Down Ampney Reserves fought out an entertaining 2-2 draw Ian McCarthy was on target for Castol, scoring twice.
