A NEWLY established youth club in Ludgershall is desperate to find an affordable meeting place.
Leader Paul Gladwin said there has been a dearth of facilities for teenagers in the village. Efforts to launch a youth club have been hampered by a lack of a suitable meeting place.
Mr Gladwin said a group of people in the village concerned at the lack of an organised youth club had got together to form Teenreach.
It will operate initially from the Scout Hall and will be officially launched tonight. Mr Gladwin said the village's Memorial Hall had been ruled out because the trustees had asked for £20 an hour.
The village had been without youth facilities since the former boys club closed down.
Mr Gladwin said: "This is a plea for help on behalf of all the young people who are bored with sitting on walls and having nothing to do."
The club is also appealing for a snooker/pool table, a table tennis table and a darts board.
Anyone who can help can call Mr Gladwin on (01264) 398513.
