THANK you for reporting the concern felt by residents of Great Bedwyn at the prospect of a 33-metre mast in their midst.
Not only will it dominate an estate of pensioner bungalows but the skyline of a conservation area.
Surely there is a less obtrusive site available to British Rail?
To position a possible health hazard there, where it needs to be heavily protected from vandalism and adventurous children, is the height of insensitivity.
The parish apparently has no right of appeal but, belatedly, has been told it can comment.
Who is going to listen? Where are the human rights?
