BELLRINGERS at St Thomas's Church, Salisbury, are on target to raise £35,000 for refurbishing the bells of Salisbury.
In December 2002, they had raised only £18,000 towards the project but, five months and several competitions later, the restoration group intends to announce the completion of its fundraising at a mayoral reception on Thursday, May 15, at 7.30pm, at the Guildhall, Salisbury.
The event will also feature the Salisbury Youth Orchestra, under the direction of Richard Parsons, and the Quintessentials group.
