I travel to work via Lydiard Millicent, but once again a demonstration of the local authority's illogical car policy has appeared in the form of traffic calming measures which, from one direction, are hidden by a sharp bend, and from the other are close to a busy roundabout in the rush hour.
As with the original bed capacity for the new hospital, which many argued in no way matched what was actually required , this traffic alteration will have the opposite effect to traffic calming.
Like the nurses at the new hospital currently threatened with fines because they could not park in a staff space, the motorists needs are ignored by the local authority.
Why is it that these authorities spend thousands of pounds of tax-payers money on fancy consultations and then do the opposite?
