WILTSHIRE juniors under-18 played a triangular match against Berks, Bucks and Oxon and Hampshire at Newbury and Crookham.
They drew 5-5 with BB and O but lost 6.5-3.5 to Hampshire.
John Haugh (Salisbury/South Wilts) and Ben Smith (Cumberwell Park) each won twice. Richard Scarrott, Wrag Barn's 15-year-old one-handicapper, captained the team, losing against BB and O but fighting back to halve his game against Hampshire with three successive birdies after being three down.
Gary Sawyer won the final Wiltshire medal of the season at Cumberwell Park, but Salisbury and South Wilts assistant Andy Beal (Salisbury) won the order of merit title. Beal finished with 735 points, Sawyer was on 558, followed by Iain Ferrie 548, Richard Blake 540 and David Hutton 478.
Sawyer, 33, produced a spectacular round of five-under-par 66 over the first and third nines (red and blue) courses.
Beal was runner-up on 70 followed by Blake and home player Steve Surry on 71 and Paul McLean (Bowood) and John Jacobs (Cumberwell Park) 72.
