A TEENAGE Irish boy is set to be the first beneficiary of Lydia's Legacy, a trust set up after 16-year-old Lydia Harding died of cancer.
The trust was set up, using money raised by people in Chippenham, to pay for alternative therapy for Lydia, at the Oasis of Hope clinic in Mexico.
Now Lydia's parents, Sue and Howard Harding, say the trust will pay for up to 15 per cent of the teenager's treatment.
The Oasis of Hope Hospital will also match the trust funding.
Dr Franciso Contreras, from the Oasis of Hope Hospital, is due to visit Britain from May 13 to 20, to talk about the controversial cancer therapy, which includes taking large doses of vitamins as well as Laetrile, a compound found in apricot kernels.
