BOX: The parish council plans to apply for £150,000 lottery cash to pay for a new sports pavilion.
The pavilion would be used by the village football, cricket and bowls club.
Parish council chairman Derek Lovell said the facilities were badly needed. The pavilion would also include a self-financing bar available for other sports events.
