A ONE off gig in Westbury, which brought two bands back into the limelight for the first time since the sixties, has raised over £1,000 for charity.
In March, members of two rival Westbury groups the Blackhearts and Dave and the Druids, got together for the concert at the Paragon Hall, Westbury. Tickets sold out and the hall was packed on the night.
On Saturday, band members presented cheques totalling £1,300 to the childhood leukaemia charity CLIC and the Meningitis Trust.
The groups will perform again at the Paragon Hall on May 23.
Tickets from Westbury Labour Club and the Crowing Cock in Trowbridge.
