PEOPLE in Trowbridge donated nearly £300 to a street collection for research into Alzheimer's disease and dementia.
Bath-based charity The Research Institute for the Care of the Elderly held a collection in the town centre on April 5, raising £295.74.
Collection organiser Michael Auton said: "We were thrilled at the generosity of the people who gave and we would like to thank them and our volunteer collectors for making this so successful."
The charity will be holding another street collection in Bradford on Avon on May 31.
RICE is holding a carers course in Trowbridge on June 11 and 12 for people to get advice on how to cope with caring for someone with dementia.
