FOR the ultimate va-va-voom, Renault has launched the new Clio Renaultsport V6 255.

Thanks to a host of new developments, the Clio V6 255 combines pleasure of use, efficiency and unusually high performance, with a 0-62mph time of 5.8 seconds.

The chassis has been fully revamped with new Michelin Pilot Sport tyres fitted for the first time.

With a completely new top end, the three-litre, 24-valve, V6 engine delivers 255bhp at 7,150rpm, while the six-speed gearbox has been designed specifically for this new model.

Now assembled at the Dieppe site, the model has enhanced levels of equipment and quality including the latest Clio dashboard.

The exclusive sporting model features a unique design, with entirely new grille, bonnet and twin-unit xenon headlamps.

A double exhaust pipe, now chrome finished, and the air intakes with wide square mesh grille covers emphasise the sporting look.

Inside, there are leather/alcantara bucket seats, a steering wheel with thumb rests and active safety features including twin airbags and ABS brakes.

With the Renaultsport personalisation programme, the most demanding enthusiasts will be able to custom-tailor their car.

The Clio Renaultsport V6 255 is priced at £26,995 on the road, with first deliveries in July 2003.
