BLUE skies and the promise of a warm summer have prompted Citron to open the order books on its funky C3 Pluriel, ahead of its UK on-sale date of June 2.

With on-the-road prices of just £11,995 for the 75hp 1.4i petrol model and £13,595 for the 110hp 1.6i 16V petrol version, which is equipped with the company's acclaimed rally- style paddle change 'SensoDrive' gearbox, the Citron C3

Pluriel is one of the most exciting and versatile additions to the supermini sector.

Combining all the practicality of a four-seater supermini with all the fun of a convertible, whilst remaining eye-catching and attractive in each of its five body configurations, all C3 Pluriel models will offer an electric full-length retractable roof, four electric windows, electric door mirrors, remote control central locking with deadlocks, a CD player and variable power-assisted steering.

The 1.6i 16V version adds alloy wheels and an anti-theft alarm, while the availability of features such as automatic digital air conditioning and automatic operation of the headlamps and windscreen wipers top off this great package.

Safety levels on the C3 Pluriel are equally high, with both models featuring ABS with EBD and EBA, four airbags and four 3-point inertia reel seatbelts, as well as a specially stiffened body shell, reinforced windscreen pillars and roof arches plus strengthened seat backs and headrests.
